Where is the best Caribbean vacation destination and Why?

I wouldn't look into cuba, first of all. However, the bahamas are beautiful and there's nightlife and plenty to see! Cozumel is also gorgeous and famous for their snorkeling and reefs :). Puerto vallarta is not desirable lately because of mexican cartels. However, anything near cancun is perfectly safe right now! We are going there in 3 weeks! We are stoked ;)
